Evidence & current status

Manufacturer specifications and mission options are documented. A product page alone does not establish operational acceptance of every advertised payload.

Albatross II is NCSIST's maritime surveillance aircraft, presented as a platform for building an integrated picture of surrounding waters. Its current product page describes optical and thermal imaging, maritime radar, automatic identification-system reception and electronic reconnaissance as mission payloads. It also identifies automated take-off and landing and redundant navigation and control functions.

The developer publishes flight time above 16 hours and a distance above 300 kilometres. The wording of the distance figure does not establish whether it is a flight-range limit, a mission radius or a particular link configuration, so the catalogue retains that ambiguity. It should not be compared directly with a one-way aircraft's range or another UAV's communications radius.

The current entry records the developer's offering rather than assuming that every advertised mission package has been delivered. Albatross II is also distinct from the earlier Albatross tactical system, whose legacy brochure lists different endurance and payload figures. Operator acceptance, production quantities and the configuration of delivered sensors are the principal remaining gaps for a more complete fleet assessment.
