Evidence & current status
Procurement, trials and service are distinguished; family figures are not transferable between variants.
Inspector 125 is the surface carrier at the centre of Exail's Belgian–Dutch mine-countermeasure system. It deploys underwater sensors and vehicles and connects them with the host ship or shore-control organisation. The composite hull and support equipment form a different configuration from the smaller Inspector 90.
Exail identifies two main arrangements: a waterjet-propelled USV125 for deploying robotic payloads, and a propeller-driven USV125-S for sweeping duties. Their towing, speed and equipment requirements are not interchangeable. The current family comparison is used for headline dimensions and endurance; older publicity contains different speed and endurance claims and remains dated programme history.
In March 2026 Exail reported delivery of the first Belgian–Dutch MCM toolbox, including two Inspector 125 surface craft. The same release explicitly marked some other toolbox equipment as later planned deliveries. That distinction prevents a partial delivery from being presented as a fully completed programme. The record supports delivered status for the first craft while leaving subsequent national allocations, configurations and full mission-package acceptance to their own dated updates.
