Evidence & current status
Supplier information is attributed; performance and operational acceptance require configuration-specific evidence.
Orbiter 5 extends the Aeronautics tactical surveillance family into a larger airframe and longer-duration offering. The current product page identifies a seventy-five-kilogram maximum take-off configuration and a modular multisensor architecture. Its reconnaissance role is distinct from the family’s expendable products.
The manufacturer describes runway independence and autonomous flight/recovery functions. These broad architecture statements do not establish that every launch method used elsewhere in the Orbiter family applies to this model. Detailed equipment and customer acceptance need model-specific evidence.
The displayed duration, speed and ceiling are supplier maxima. They should not be treated as one simultaneously achievable operating point. A current product listing supports inclusion in the reference catalogue but is not a complete military inventory. The record leaves named operators and any undisclosed dimensional or propulsion details open, providing a clear baseline for later contract and flight-test updates.
