Evidence & current status
Specifications are attributed public claims. Configuration, current fleet size and deliveries may not be fully disclosed.
REACH-S is a fixed-wing aircraft developed within EDGE’s Advanced Concepts organisation, with ADASI responsible for production and contract delivery. It represents a domestic UAE medium-altitude programme rather than a locally operated imported type. EDGE describes automatic take-off and landing, an under-fuselage optical sensor installation and provision for additional military payloads.
The programme received a notable procurement commitment in November 2023, when EDGE announced a UAE Ministry of Defence order for one hundred aircraft. At the time, the company described completed flight tests and further endurance testing ahead. The order is evidence of a customer commitment; it should not be read as confirmation that the full number had already entered service.
The current product page supplies a 640-kilogram maximum take-off mass and a twenty-four-hour advertised endurance. The two-hundred-kilometre distance is explicitly measured from the ground control station. It is therefore labelled as operating coverage rather than fuel-limited flight range. The specifications remain manufacturer claims for the advertised configuration, while delivered sensor fits, acceptance dates and final fleet totals are not established by the reviewed sources.
