Evidence & current status

Construction is confirmed; 2027 introduction remains planned. Builder identity and numeric performance were not established by the primary announcement.

Singapore's new MCM USV programme builds on experiments with autonomous mine-countermeasure payloads that the navy says began in 2012. It is separate from the operational MARSEC patrol-vessel fleet. Shared navigation and collision-avoidance experience does not make the two programmes the same configuration.

The navy's November 2025 announcement marks the start of hull construction. It describes craft that can be configured for towed sonar or underwater inspection and mine-countermeasure equipment, with automated payload handling and shore-based control. The vessels are intended to operate within a wider capability that also includes AUVs, command systems, maintenance and minesweeping equipment.

The stated introduction schedule starts in 2027. That remains a forecast, rather than evidence of 2026 delivery or service acceptance. The reviewed primary announcement does not establish a public model designation, hull manufacturer or complete numeric performance table, so the entry uses the official descriptive programme name. The design's potential to take on maritime-security tasks is recorded as a planned capability without borrowing the existing MARSEC boats' specifications.
