Evidence & current status
Procurement, trials and service are distinguished; family figures are not transferable between variants.
Textron's Multi Mission USV is a newer derivative of CUSV, introduced publicly in January 2026. The manufacturer links it to an August 2025 Low-Cost Unmanned Maritime Solution award covering development, testing and delivery. That is a concrete programme commitment, distinct from asserting that the new version already has the service history of the established mine-countermeasure craft.
The design expands the capacity available for fuel and mission equipment and uses a modular payload bay. Textron describes roles spanning maritime sensing and mine-countermeasure support, with autonomy integration intended to connect the craft to other crewed and uncrewed systems. The specifications below use the multi-mission column of its current product table and the dedicated brochure.
The combined fuel-and-payload headline in the launch announcement should not be mistaken for payload alone. Similarly, a week of loitering and range at a specified transit speed are different measures. The profile preserves these distinctions and keeps delivery completion, exact customer payloads and later acceptance as programme milestones to be added when published.
