Evidence & current status

Manufacturer claims are distinguished from procurement and acceptance evidence; undisclosed figures have not been estimated.

MMCM is an Anglo-French mine-countermeasure system managed through OCCAR, with Thales leading the industrial team. Its surface vessel works with a portable operations centre and offboard survey or inspection equipment. It is therefore best understood as a delivered system of vessels, sensors and control infrastructure rather than a boat acting alone.

The Royal Navy reported Adventure's handover in April 2026 and explicitly described sister vessel Ariadne as already in service. OCCAR had announced delivery of the second UK primary system in March. These records update the older forecast that the first production capability would arrive during 2026.

Apollo belongs to the earlier trial and evaluation stage. A December 2025 parliamentary answer said that this prototype had returned to the manufacturer for maintenance and critical updates, with a later 2026 return anticipated. The production deliveries do not prove that Apollo has completed that separate process.

The published sea-state limit concerns the MMCM mission system, not an unrestricted transit or survival rating. Public sources reviewed here do not establish a single numerical hull specification covering all French, British, prototype and production boats. Those configurations remain distinct in the catalogue.
