Evidence & current status
Assisted recognition or tracking is not equated with autonomous engagement. Zmiy Droid is a related integration, not a synonym for the TW chassis.
Droid TW is a Ukrainian tracked reconnaissance and fire-support ground robot from DevDroid. The current supplier presentation identifies a mobile chassis, a Wolly mission module and the Droid Box control system as parts of the integrated product. The family includes differently equipped versions; the baseline vehicle should not be confused with the separate Zmiy Droid platform simply because some mission equipment and product names overlap.
Ukraine's Ministry of Defence announced codification of Droid TW 12.7 in December 2024. An April 2025 official account described procurement and current wartime deployment, giving stronger maturity evidence than an exhibition appearance alone. It also described day and night observation and remotely operated control interfaces.
The manufacturer publishes mobility figures for the current TW 12.7 configuration. Travel range, communications reach and the reach of an installed mission payload are different measurements and are not interchangeable. Recognition or tracking assistance described in official material also does not establish unrestricted autonomous weapon operation. This profile records the vehicle, its sensing role and programme status without treating every optional communication package as standard equipment.
