Evidence & current status

Do not map unnamed tracked RCV orders to Type-X without explicit model identification. The current direct product URL redirects to an older article.

Type-X is Milrem Robotics' larger tracked robotic combat vehicle programme, distinct from the smaller THeMIS ground robot. Its intended place is alongside mechanised vehicles, with space for substantial mission equipment rather than the primarily dismounted-support role of compact cargo robots. Milrem and John Cockerill publicly presented a turret integration in June 2020.

Milrem's subsequent programme account describes hybrid propulsion, rubber tracks and assisted functions including route-following, obstacle detection and following another vehicle or person. These functions concern vehicle movement and supervision; they do not establish that weapon use occurs without human authorisation. The programme has also been presented against US robotic-vehicle requirements, which should not be mistaken for winning a US production programme.

This profile remains in development and trials because the reviewed primary sources do not establish a current, named operational fleet. Later announcements about generic Milrem tracked combat vehicles should only be mapped to Type-X where the source identifies the model. Demonstrator equipment, potential customer options and accepted production configurations therefore remain separate, with numeric specifications withheld until an unambiguous current configuration is established.
