Scope and evidence
This audit covers the original research register for Underwater systems coverage audit & research gaps. The review below records work completed on 21 September 2026. Resolved means the named research task was addressed, not that every national programme or undisclosed capability is catalogued. Partially resolved topics now have published evidence but retain a narrower question.
France — Partially resolved
Exail A9-M, A18-M and SLAM-F configuration. Added distinct A9-M and A18-M profiles and separated eight firm French SLAM-F vehicles from eight options. July 2026 light-MCM award explicitly excludes A9-M.
Germany — Partially resolved
SeaCat family and delivered Navy configuration. Added SeaCat profile with explicit 600 m family versus 300 m German baseline and hybrid control modes. Government source contains stale forward delivery language.
India — Partially resolved
L&T Amogh, Adamya and Maya. Reviewed current L&T source and added differentiated Amogh, Adamya and Maya portfolio record with model-qualified dimensions, masses and depth.
Japan — Partially resolved
MHI OZZ-5 and France–Japan follow-on technology. Added sourced profiles after checking current product, programme and customer evidence.
South Korea — Partially resolved
Hanwha mine-detection AUV and larger programmes. Added sourced profiles after checking current product, programme and customer evidence.
Türkiye — Partially resolved
DERİNGÖZ 100M/600 and 100L/300. Added sourced profiles after checking current product, programme and customer evidence. Added contracted NETA 300 and separately classified the May 2026 TENGİZ announcement.
Iceland — Partially resolved
Gavia, Osprey and SeaRaptor. Added sourced profiles after checking current product, programme and customer evidence.
United States — Partially resolved
Iver4 900, Iver4 580, Knifefish and Slocum Sentinel. Added separate Iver4 900, Iver4 580, Knifefish and Slocum Sentinel records. Distinguished battery/document baselines, the March 2026 Iver procurement, the first Knifefish delivery and Sentinel's 2026 trial.
Norway — Partially resolved
Base HUGIN models and MUNIN. Added base HUGIN 3000/4500/6000 and MUNIN records. Used the dedicated 3000 and 6000 sheets rather than the generic 100-hour headline; identified MUNIN's source as March 2018.
Sweden — Partially resolved
Double Eagle, Sea Wasp and MuMNS. Added Double Eagle MDS/SAROV, MuMNS and Sea Wasp. Distinguished tether-powered, hybrid and untethered modes and recorded specific Polish procurement and historical US prototype evidence.
Australia — Partially resolved
Speartooth. Added Speartooth with current MASU, US commissioning and German-sale evidence. Numeric performance has not been invented from secondary reports.
Canada — Partially resolved
Cellula Solus-LR / Solus-XR and ISE vehicles. Resolved the Solus-LR→Envoy and Solus-XR→Guardian identities. Added those two records, Explorer and historical Theseus; distinguished Envoy's reported 2026 trial from Guardian's advertised range.
China — Partially resolved
Military UUV families and dual-use scientific vehicles. Added Haidou-1 and Haiyi as explicitly scientific technology records. Reviewed the 2025 Chinese defence press conference, which declined to add programme details about large parade-displayed UUVs.
Russia — Partially resolved
Rubin robotic vehicles and naval UUV programmes. Added manufacturer-sourced Vityaz-D and Yunona research/survey records. Rubin's 2018 annual report also confirms Klavesin-2R-PM preliminary trials, without establishing present acceptance.
Ukraine — Partially resolved
Toloka and other reported underwater prototypes. Identified Marichka's project owner and prototype evidence and added a development profile. Reviewed BRAVE1's named Toloka team reference and current market literature; none supplies a sufficiently clear original model-specific acceptance record.
